So i tried reading both the manga here to see if i will like it.
The most heretical last boss is (for me) extremely boring and cringe, same problem with others similar story with mary sue characters who know the future.


This one was more original, the beginning was good, the 2 chapters here were really fun.

I can't find where to read after chapter 10. In Japan, volume 5 or 6 is out now.

Surprisingly the main plot resolves in the first arc, but the light novel and manga actually continue past that point. It's unusual for these villainness stories as usually the settings are too simplistic for anything interesting to happen. If the main story wraps up there are sometimes really obtuse meta-narratives on the need for a villainness and tragedy for the order of the world. Dumb plot device characters pop up to "correct" the story. In this case there's quite a lot established about the politics and affairs of different clans to work with instead of just ruminating on the villainness role.

It is coming to Vietnam soon so I'm reading to get a feel of things by reading the first volume but I accidentally went through the first 3 volumes already.

This manga and the novel is liscenced so it's pretty much impossible to find in English

Meh, pretty mediocre, difficult to not compare it to Apothecary Diaries which just does everything better. I presumed there'd be an equal focus on both body swapped and they learn about how different circumstances affected them but this is really just another generic female harem lead.

The main heroine is flawless so there's really no dynamism, which is the fundamental problem with any "mary/gary sue": it's not about "realism", it's that they're just not interesting. At the end of the story (or where it should have ended) the characters have learnt anything or developed in any way beyond being even more amazed by the main character.

Apothecary Diaries already skirt pretty close to these problems, but at least the decisions have weight. The story actually tries to take it's setting seriously and recognise the problems as structural: the characters are trapped in roles decided by institutions which can't easily be broken. But since this manga is about the heroine's constant successes it doesn't have the guts to actually handle the structures of power it claims to critique:

It claims the harem is a site of deadly power struggles but then everything turns out to just be one big misunderstanding caused by a particularly mean individual. No one dies because the Empress can just forgive anyone. There's so serious attempt to delve into patriarchal relations but instead the Emperor and the Captain are just two different dream guys. The attempts to deal with racism is as ham-fisted as it is shallow and is of course solved by the main heroine not having that flaw in the first place. Nothing happens, because there does exist any space in which anything could happen.
