I think they are lovely in this chapter. He isn't perfect and is taking time to understand his feelings, but I feel he cares about her. And she is really cute, she herself made clear se wants to stay near him. I mean, you don't stay beside a person just because you receive big things from them, right? She wants to help, she enjoys to be with him and he's not bad with her...
I hope he heals soon...
