Y'know for a manga called "What is Normal Love?" this has so far been remarkably normal, basic fall in love at first sight from both of them + childhood friend with a crush on the sidelines. Feels like with a title like this it should be exploring some girls doing some more wild shit like in Himegoto - Juukyuusai no Seifuku

Honestly, It's just kind of refreshing to see actual co-ed school in Yuri at this point. I enjoy the dynamic it adds to things.

Thanks for the TL! This is a nice series so far, just wish the chapters were longer!

Queer relationships are still not seen as 'normal" in Japan, so that's probably the angle they're taking this.

Which is supported by the fact that the black-haired girl keeps reminding herself that her love isn't "normal".

Yeah that's how its seeming, but even then with this latest chapter we see both girls looking at those two guys and thinking "oh they seem gay, I'm jealous", it comes off as them thinking "they seem gay too" and knowing already what they are. Basically, if they want to go the route of the title meaning that society perceives gay relationships as not normal then they need to do a lot more to show internal struggle with identity and attraction or with society at large. It's real hard to do that when it starts off with love at first sight and is so far just soft scenes of them flirting and getting closer.

Do note that as of this chapter we're not even halfway through the first volume yet. In a monthly release 72 pages in total would make up 2-3 chapters. There is time for things to get weirder still.

To me, it's already pretty strange that nobody has a name, and the extreme mood swings of the leads are a little unnerving.
