tbf while i know one or two ppl who were openly gay in school i can't imagine it being like that for all teens, I couldn't even imagine all the openly gay teachers that some ppl complain about online versus being in a state/city with a huge queer community (tho not that i'd ever become a teacher but if so i'd probably never be public about it to staff/students unless ppl are already married (tho even if it's legal in certain areas doesn't mean that ppl would still rly talk about it too much but i grew up in the south so i imagine even if the students are ok with it there'd still be some parents who complain) and such but most ppl don't rly pry into teachers lives that much/most of the teachers kids always went to diff schools so i guess also conflict of interests)
