? Speaking as someone who just binged the whole thing, so this is fresh - in Chapter 21, on page 20, (which to be fair, was posted a year ago) Fenrir states he's the first man to become Fenrir.

So in this setting, Fenrir is normally female, but the current one is an anomaly.
