I'm really happy with the way this story line concluded. As much as Miki-san appears to be a real bitch, to put it bluntly. I can definitely buy that in her own way she really cared for Shizuku and cherished the time they spent together.

At the start of the manga it was established that Minami is 18. And this is sometime after it. Also minimum age for drivers license for JP 18.

I don't think age of Saori is ever mentioned. Probably between 16-18.

Yeah, we know Minami is older, because early in the side-story series we saw her aging out of institutional care before Shizuku.

Senior high school graduation in Japan is usually at 18, so Saori and Shizuku would be approaching there but not quite.

Oh yeah I forgot about the institute part. I was re-reading the manga hoping for class signs. Couldn't find any (the standard 1, 2 or 3 thing in JP High schools) so we are still unsure with exact ages. Not that it matters story wise. Saori+Shizuku still my favorite pair.
