Disagree, i think is about 20 years i read hentai and ecchi as a genre too, part of the manga culture, by this logic everyone doing so can be a terrible person in real life too, nonsense, in all those 20 years i never hear that someone was affected to fictions in the real world too. There was also two official studies, one danish and one japanese, result was the same, no connections at all, this is why there are no restrictions to the freedom of speech expecially in Japan, a logical conclusion.
Drawings are fake, fictional characters do not have age or rights, unless someone think drawings should have real life rights and should be equal, but if this is the case i'm wondering who really need a doctor. To me is just the classic excuse the detractors often use to censor what they personally do not like, not because they are an issue at all.

If you think such content desensitize yourself irl to such degree then maybe there is something wrong with you and should stop to read such content. After more than 30 years of anime and manga i'm not desensitized at all, not in the slightest, is crazy to think so.
