Yes, this was good. This kind of stories could actually be the entire manga for all I care.
The love rival being another teacher is a good idea too. But that's it. I don't need the student's president that also love the teacher, or any other girls.

This is just the pure first love of a naive Gal, and the dense professor that is in complete denial (because this was clearly a date).
