All things considered, I think that’s a pretty cute and satisfying ending. Probably would have been a little too sweet and on-the-nose to give us a time skip. I do think a lot of stories like this tend to overstay their welcome, so I suppose I’ve learned to appreciate when an author knows to wrap it up.

It's sad that it's over, but at least we have a cute and nice ending.
It seems that volume 1 has some chapters re-written, modified or simply new, different from the original run (at least that's what it seems looking at their tittles). I can't confirm 'cause I don't have a copy.
