Man, I started this manga on the assumption that it was a completed work, but it ended in 2013 and Fukumoto never continued it. He even started a new manga in 2019 and the dude is in his 60s so I feel like he'll never finish Zero, which is a shame because it's really entertaining. We never even got to find out what happened after the car crash at the end of Part 1.

Cliffhangers do suck, but at least the threads for this arc were all tied up. This is better than a manga that stops abruptly mid release. That said, I of course would love to see the larger game with Zero, Shirube, Zaizen, and now Kijurou resolved.
Yes Fukumoto is old, but he continues to be quite productive, and he has come out with sequels long after the originals seemed to conclude in some of his other series. I am more hopeful for a fitting final arc for this than I am for resolution of some other manga.

The way Zero’s friends (besides Mitsuru, and even then very briefly) are never mentioned again... seriously? I really doubt Zero would just forget about them like that, so are we supposed to assume they’re dead? I don’t mind Hiroshi being gone, but Yuuki had so much going for him it sucks to see him written out.
I like Tobaku Haouden Zero more than any other work Fukumoto’s done, so it’s a shame to see that not only is part 2 majorly lacking in quality, but both parts end on such weird notes too.
I’ll admit I’m mostly complaining because Yuuki is my favorite character, but putting that aside this was not worth reading in general.
Also the transphobia was really heinous. Seriously what the fuck was up with that?
