god, i made an account just to respond to you people:
1) No, Kaiji cannot make a deal with the Mazda guy. Like
@cromat said, he'd just take as much as possible from the gang then report them for more.
2) I agree with
@spurgleburgle. If their debt is not increased, it might still lead to Teiai henchmen beating up the caller for lying about being sure about them being the right guys. Anyway, Mazda guy cannot call and get his reward without being sure that those are the right people.
3)
@Gambio, if they threw a bunch of money out the window, that'd just be a confirmation for the Mazda guy that they are the guys Teiai is looking for. Basically the same thing as letting the guy see their faces, except you lose a bag of money on top of it. After all, who else would have that sort of money to just throw out the window?
and yes,
@lainbash, this whole arc is the biggest gamble Kaiji ever got into, whether Kaiji and the gang escapes will depend on their quick thinking and a whole lot of luck. I for one do enjoy this arc and hope Kaiji escapes, he deserves it at this point and I know FKMT can make Kaiji lose as well as win, regardless of usual rules for a finale. Kaiji is not an usual manga and FKMT knows the whole fun of it is not knowing which way the gamble will go, Kaiji doing his best to put the odds on his side but ultimately shit happens as we saw in the past. I hope shit doesnt happen this time for my man but it could and I'd be fine with it too, i just personally hope he makes it (even if he ends up blowing it all in Vegas or something hahahah)
