This whole Chang part of the plot is just retarded. Fukomoto has made an idiot out of him which goes against everything we've seen so far. Instead of leaving the truck in some big parking lot (like near the airport or some supermarket) or wherever he chose a random place, lol. And instead of doing some research first he just went to some remote place and hoped for the best. Instead of buying a cell phone he placed all (or almost all) money in a locker that can be only used for 3 days only. And this is the main problem, since he knew about it he's been made an even bigger idiot than one would initially think. Terrible writing, just terrible.

Whatever the plot twist was, the plan turned to shit the moment he started risking his own rules. (Talking to strangers, sleeping in an old man's house, ...) He could have found back the truck, found another spot closer to a mean of transportation and that's all.
