I hate the whole “I hide my strength” trope but in this case for the plot it makes sense, but what doesn’t make sense to me is his actions. In this chapter if your whole thing was keeping it so the main story stayed the same why not just lie to Charlie that she was your wife and have her go back to being with Allen for the main story and with how things are progressing it seems there’s no point to hiding his strength anymore
