I think they're overthinking it. The only question is why she would need to be saved in the first place, and that's what Morishita was misled about - she didn't even think to ask.

I mean, I kinda undestand Pres, even if the Bashiko thinks her games are terrible, maybe she's just like me: likes to play indie horror games because it's fun to me lol, plus about the videogames are like nightmares thing, we all have bad or dumb takes sometimes, give pres a break! xD
