thanks for the chapter.... if the two leads aren't gals being pals by chapter 2 or room mates by chapter 3 I think Beethoven would be truly disappointed that his work wasn't able to achieve such a feat in 2026.

Bless you a thousand times over for translating this, I’m so happy. As a concert musician (band not orchestra though) a yuri of this genre is so perfect for me.

@Jimmy_Karter
This manga is not originally split in half. Please upload the WHOLE chapter, not part.

Hello,
My raw provider sent the chapter as 2 parts, I will upload chapter 1.2 later today
Okay, but as you can see from the raws at the link in the main page, they were not originally split, so:
a) please combine the two parts when you TL the second part and
b) get your raw provider to send you the entire chapters for chapter 2 and beyond.
Thanks
😁

This seems wild. The gap of classical music to action-style drawing is a bit much but will maybe work?

So the conductor cross-dressing & hiding her gender?

(There was a documentary a few years back about the La Maestra competition in France some might be interested in, Maestra.)

Hi, @Jimmy_Karter I made a report to combine these 2 partial chapters and to merge the comments.
From now on please only release these as single whole chapters and not partial chapters. I believe you said your raw provider only issued you partial chapters. Either let him/her know that you need the entire chapter or wait until you get both parts to post on MDex. This is according to rule 2.2.2:

Yes, but I didn't know how to combine the chapters.
Should I just edit the previous 1.1 chapter and make it 1? Won't that confuse the people who already read 1.1 and didn't notice when I edit it and add more pages?

Nope, "Like I said, a mod will combine the chapters and merge the comments and update their read/unread records, etc. What I was saying is for future reference.

reminds me of James MacPherson’s Ossian cycle: allegedly he translated the poems from Scottish Gaelic oral recitations of the 3rd century bard Ossian but it was actually totally fabricated by MacPherson himself

but it didn’t matter because the Ossian poems were so good as an original work that it was a favorite of Napoleon, Thoreau, Jefferson, and Goethe thereby becoming a foundational text of Romanticism

Thank you for the upload. I love the conductor's energy its near full on "Bro trust me" Saul Goodman tier. With the way they were building up the Yakitate Japan and Food Wars lvl reactions people can have listening to some types of music and how its played I was waiting for some mildly sinister reveal or twist regarding the playing the contested score in question. The twist we got though honestly while the build up to it was noticeable considering how Leon was reacting to her fans I was expecting initially when the reveal was starting that it was part of some complex plan to room mate Miyako after an attempt to just gals being pals her mom failed during the time they interacted with each other years earlier. Possibly even this being an attempt on her part to avenge or at least validate Miyako's mother do to how her career ended.
However with the full reveal and its implication I guess I'm having some difficulty processing Leon's logic in this situation. She wants or needs Miyako to make a superior forgery of her forgery but once it was revealed what had happened with the earlier owner of the piece in question its made it so there is no way to prove now that the score is authentic because the original disputed piece is no longer a factor so it's authenticity can no longer be proven and therefore no way of redeeming or vindicating Miyako's mom. Because all they have to work with is a copied or forged version of the original work. I know they explained earlier copyist roles regarding the preservation of music but again we are relying on Leon's Trust me bro comment regarding her own skills and memory and only an extremely small amount of people having seen the original work two of whom are now dead. Unless miyako's mom or the other professor retained some saved renditions of the original work to compare against Leon's version but I digress. I guess I find her I've won comment in this chapter to be somewhat confusing as to what she's won unless its yuri related? If she's using the ruse of if this can be authenticated as legit as a way to one up her competitor she's taking an awfully big risk here with not just her career but Miyako's as well because if its found out that they don't have the original piece or that the prior owner destroyed the original there goes goes their credibility and it brings in the issue of fraud because we the readers should also question whether the prior owner actually wanted the piece authenticated after his passing which seems contradictory considering what he did in both cases or is this another layer of deception that Leon infused in the situation?
I get for a series that only has one chapter out so far trying to figure a character's end game is to much to ask and it is just a story but I'm having difficulty trying to discern at this juncture what Leon, that mad lad, hopes to acheive by relaying this information to Miyako outside of either trying to impress/rizz her latest target or to gaslight the one person at that institute that would be most likely to discover and expose her deception into assisting with her ruse by appealing to both her skills as a copyist and verifier and her mother's history with that piece of music.

I'm wondering if they took her name from the Atlanta Symphony Music Director and contralto Natalie Stutzmann...
