So it seems like their dead bodies are sent elsewhere so no one knows that they've died, and the copies created can go back to "their" lives afterwards, but in Kishimoto's case, the real body survives (which is weird because the real body needed treatment in the hospital to survive, but it seems like Gantz made a copy at the time of the suicide attempt, and should've warped the real body out of there at that moment instead of leaving it in the real world to be found and sent to hospital).
