Eh its still a revenge story, its just not a torture porn or extreme one, and it takes a good while for him to position himself anywhere where a real target of his revenge can be found.

I think there are like 2 or 3 whole arcs before he even meets one of the jackasses since they threw him to the ass end of nowhere to murder forest. He just got new reason to seek revenge and a way to get towards that position in the last chapter I read. His current problem is getting EVEN MORE BROKEN because as it turns out elves are fucking broken in a world with a leveling system since they can level for a absurd amount of time.

It's a bit more complicated than that but the first sentence is right.
The reward amount is that much because of the request.
I'm sure that reward is for A) Saving his daughter. B) Compensation for buying Kana. and then C) The request.
If he refuses, I'm sure he will still at least get good amount of the reward for saving his daughter...otherwise they would lose face as nobles for not rewarding a favor done to them.

That would actually be pretty dumb. First, They already owe him a favor due to saving their daughter. Second, he wasn't lying when he said he was broke. Third, the power behind having a noble family sponsor you (short sword with their family crest) is profound. So just offloading the girl who you spent all your money to buy, refusing twice that amount and a sponsorship for a favor already owed to you.....poor, poor decision. You'll make a great isekai MC!

@Chaeden That's more interesting and reasonable than for it to just suddenly jump into him getting revenge chapter after chapter just because "Oh look, one of the people that kicked me out just so happens to be passing by" every dozen pages. It doesn't make sense that he would be able to outclass everyone and everything when anyone can gain lvs and become strong, it's not like his stats are 10 million each like um, that one with the seeds of evolution and the gorilla and donkey turned girls. After all, the last lv it showed him at was 210, although he did kill some more monsters and a dragon after that.

Sorry but your "mercy" just comes off as self serving, if i was the mc i'd find the person who did it, exonerate the girl, and then probably at least make the family that forced her into slavery pay for it in some way, maybe not violently, but i would expose wrongdoings or some such.
