I think Yumi also made a valid point. To constantly watch your own best friend go through shit and said best friend does not rely on you during hard times can make one feel useless and frustrated cux they care so much but don't know how to be there for you. It's the first time she has brought this up which means it must have really hurt her too, given that the whole dating incident was a major part of Hyejin's life.

Oof this is a tough one. I'm similar to Hyejin in that it's hard to open up and tell things, even to people I'm close to.
I've had that exact same thing happen when my BFF ends up being teary happy just because I told them something personal about myself.

I truly understand why it's difficult for both of them, and can only hope that they will talk things out and work on it together.

On yumi’s side for this one... it doesn’t help that everyone else in their friend group knows, so she feels excluded. But honestly you can’t just wait for someone to open up to you, if they prefer to keep to themselves. You have to make sure to let them know that you’re here for them, open to talk, can just listen, give advice if needed etc idk if Yumi does this in the Webtoon but just FYI for people with friends who are struggling

Yumi, I understand that you felt like this when it's from someone you hold dearly.. But listen babe, one thing you gotta know is you doesn't have to know someone's past to protect them.. You saw how people suddenly brought up past when it's literally irrelevant to current situation, you just need to let the pest know that only scums stay in the past.. For Hyejin to open up, I'm not sure Yumi.. Sometimes it literally takes a whole 10 years to finally opened up the things that hurted me the most in the past.. Yes, Yumi feeling is valid, same with Hyejin situation.. All they need is time and patience..

I get where Yumi’s coming from, but it seems like she just doesn’t want to be out of the loop and is feeling left out rather than wanting to protect her friend...like opening up is a hard thing and Yumi is kinda pushing Hyejin just because she feels left out

She should know out of all people that it is hard for her to open up to others. Hyejin didn't really think that she is off no use but its hard for anyone to tells others of their dark past. I don't see why this drama is neccessary.

i feel for yumi here. she understands hyejin’s personality and how she isn’t the type to open up easily, but she’s stuck with hyejin for years now, since high school, and hyejin still doesn’t fully trust her to rely on her and tell her things honestly. yumi’s a person with feelings too, and it must be hard for her to feel one-sided in their relationship. hyejin doesn’t really seem to realize just how lucky she is to have someone like that in her life.
