Those "poor" monsters' eyes aren't protected at all. Even a single rifleman can take care of one as long as he keeps his nerve and sees it coming.

EDIT: Went back and had a second look... the exposed eyes are small targets. Scary stuff. It would take an iron nerve!

I believe at the distance of 400-700m it is almost impractical for a sniper to hit those eye holes with a single bullet.

I will say at least 3-6 bullets are needed if a sniper want to hit those orges and it may take up to 10+ seconds for the sniper to aim between each bullets so those orges will live quite long and snipers are ineffective.

We also haven’t considered the direction at which the orge will be moving. If they move straight at the sniper position. The rate of hitting those orge will be much higher but if they move at an angle 40 degrees or above away from their position. The hitting rate will go down quite a lot. We also need to factor the wind and the fact that in a fight those orge will move their head around a lot.

There is a reason why armoured elephants are unlikely to be hit on the eyes bye faraway archers.

at the end of episode 23 , they rushes to the capital , their jeep is empty , and then at the start of ep 24 , the village chief and some kids just suddenly appears inside the jeep , saying "you saved me again" . saved him from what ?

it was so confusing when i watched this scene for the 1st time . the anime studio cut the scorched earth subplot , so they should have just cut this village chief scene too .

- those armored trolls are actually very easy to kill : some soldiers can just spam their AK47-s and focus their bullets to the trolls 's eyes and mouth .

this reminds me of the stupid movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice : batman armors up to fight superman , but he leaves his mouth completely exposed so superman can punch his teeth out .
