To be fair, the series really went downhill from a somewhat sensible story of a middle-aged soldier doing his job in isekai to a cheap shounen-like harem. The fact that initially the manga was quite bold with nudity, rape, and gore, and after a while it basically stopped showing anything risque doesn't help at all.

It was quite great in the beginning, but now it's kinda meh. It's seinen anyway, why the changes? If it ain't broke don't fix it.
