Your 4 months late, But It's not like I make a comment on literally any chapter, I just criticize the ones that stands out to me. I do give some praises time to time. Have you also seen me make comments past chapter 47? I stopped reading this manga for months now because I got really frustrated with the general nonsense the author pulls. I'm starting to read it again, so stay tuned for more criticism, or wait until I pull a 500 paragraph long essay criticizing Gate
Too much time on my hands? Yes. Reconsider what I define as garbage? No. I believe that you should read/watch a media fully to give a complete total judgement on it and can give criticisms and concerns as you go, and not completely rely on second hand knowledge to give them. Since you guys don't seem to like it when i do that, i refrain from doing so until the end
. I watched all of SAO even though I really hate it, so I can use arguments against it. It has SOME positives I can give it, but the negatives outweigh the positives. It sadly squandered its potential, which Gate so far is doing the same for the sake of Otaku Fan Service, Extreme Nationalism, and Militarism.
Comments on Mangadex are meant to have people the ability to discuss and criticize a media's shortcomings, it does not solely exist to be an "admiring" comment section where people praise it whole heartedly. I made a long comment on Toriko of my criticisms of it, despite me actually liking it. I can give JoJo's Bizarre Adventure some criticisms, even though its one of my favorite series. Besides myself, I haven't seen much others expressing concerns or criticisms on Gate except for the Main Page's comment section.
In this chapter, I criticized the behavior of the Male JSDF members for acting completely undisciplined and unprofessional with their behavior, their supposed to be disciplined soldiers who act with reserve and their not acting like it. Yea, their in a fantasy world with bunny girls and all that, but that doesn't mean they can act like teenagers. I honestly blame this on the author's indecisiveness if he wants his story to be taken seriously or not. Like, do you want it to be a realistic seinen with grim seriousness? Or you want it to be a light hearted shounen? Pick one and stick with it, don't try to do both at once.
I'm also criticizing the Special Treatment Itami gets from the characters. Take Deliah for example, the example I mentioned below. She get's angry when someone grabs her behind, but blushes like crazy when Itami makes a comment about doing it. That's hypocritical and double standard.
Instead of making a proper rebuttal towards me on how I'm wrong, like some gave to me on the chapters with the Elder Dragon, you guys just come in to berate me personally and completely ignore my criticisms. While I admit that I may have gone too far with some of them, others are legit criticisms. There is no excuse on why the foreign Black Ops groups acted so unprofessional and unskilled during the attack on the Sankai Resort to the point that mere JSDF troopers can take them out with ease without it coming off as another Extreme Nationalistic attempt by the author to make the JSDF look good at the cost of believable realistic enemies and story,
