yes, but likely no. he has enough power to his name to just walk away, but there had been plenty of people around to witness not only his behaviour but also the result of the treatment. i presume this will be used in future as a reference.

I kinda dislike how alot of the people in this story get off scot-free for things, the Prince basically being a mannequin and despite having some authority does not punish anyone involved in any sort of meaningful way.

Neat little story. Ill keep reading. I also like how the prince isnt able to punish anyone because while he does have authority, it’s clearly kept in check by his father favoring the queen allowing her to protect her pawns who’d otherwise damage her own reputation by association if they were able to be punished. It keeps a steady tension while reading. That said i gotta be honest i find it highly unlikely that surgeon would be able to perform all manners of surgery like mc is able to considering how in modern day we have so many surgeons that are specialists for one specific part or area of the body. It’s nitpicking i know but i thought it worth including.

i presume until the female protagonist actually saves a local noble of high standing, she will always be treated as an odd fella, which allows for any kind of scrutiny including barging into a surgery. they already started to dig into her history and when her abilities cannot be explained, the situation will likely tilt. the best she can do is just get a wider range of support, and helping this potential leading figure of another country will likely be in her favor.

I reckon his influence will already by cut by failing the nasty queen's expectations. He promised the queen to deal with Kiara, but he achieved absolutely nothing, yet Kiara gained a little bit of additional fame. I don't believe the queen is the kind of person who forgives failures and broken promises.

For me it's the inspectors barging in with no consequences on top of the foreign delegation doing it that really sets off the "???" reaction. You'd assume kidnapping a woman of decent standing who is in the employ of the crown prince, then also breaking into the clinic backed by him in front of him, as well as assault and threats of violence would set off an international incident. The first time I could imagine being swept under the rug, but not the second. I'd have normally expected executions so for there to be 0 consequences there, followed up by 0 consequences for the people of his own kingdom that he supposedly would have some authority over, that makes me wonder if the prince is actually just a wall decoration that the MC is delusionally imagining to be a person.

Everybodies questioning how the intruders got off scott free, gotta remember that the intruders are backed by the queen. Queen outranks prince, no surprise that the queens plans get swept under the rug
