I mean, if you are creating a dungeon, atleast make one with proper system.
But instead MC just went and made a luxurious cave house instead.
I really want to know what kind-off dungeon simulation game MC played before if he didn't know that Dungeons are meant to be attacked and farmed.
I have never played Minecraft, but i doubt even there someone would make a dungeon as just a show.

I mean, he is going to be taking advantage of Adventurers and even exploit them.
So, there is a need to make him do stuff forcefully just to showcase that he would become a scumbag just so that he is able to live.
I am sure a lot of readers would start calling MC with names (and some might even say that the bullying MC received before he committed suicide is justified), because others would consider that living like that is worse than what MC is doing.

Niiiiice. This is similar to korean style of beginning where they make the mc have a not so likeable character traits. Here its the incredibly pathetic trait. But the cruel decision was great. The "i love you all and thank you" was cringe but it fits the coping of a pathetic character. Expectations are high.

I mean, chapter 1 of the manga opens with him telling an adventurer he's gonna rape her and turn her into breeding fodder. You can make a point about him being the protagonist or whatever, but I think that's pretty squarely in "usually a villain thing" camp.

I agree in the usual case that'd be pretty evil, but considering the only options are kill or be killed, not sure that counts.

There are quite a few where conquering is just taking over control, not destruction. His idea for a theme park style dungeon concept is actually pretty interesting, since if he could get people to visit he would be able to passively farm them for dungeon rewards while being in a positive symbiotic relationship with their own socioeconomic culture.

That's true.
But, for that to work, you would have to know if the people in the region are interested in such stuff or not.
That's why i called MC an Airhead, because he went into building a Theme Park styled Dungeon, without even knowing what's going on outside.

damn he actually planned that struggle battle out, just with a shameful tactic unfortunately. That's a rather cool start to not glamorize his first win. Showing mc's cowardice and weakness with the reveal of his past is a bold decision too lets see if it pays off.
