so is this bad because her employee's son is screwed, or good because she plans to snipe talent in the breakup?

Or is the issue that she'll be forced to take on some of the liabilities of this newly collapsing bank?
Well, I wouldn't spoil, but her aunt's son/ Runa's cousin (her maid is also her aunt) might be screwed. The government, under the convoy system, might also recommend that they "bail out" each other, and I think it would be hard for one under the MoF heat, to disagree with that.

No, this is bad! Very very bad! You see it even today. When one bank fails, all banks suddenly fall under scrutiny. It can lead to investigations, audits, and worst of all, legislation. A panicking government can pass the most ludicrous laws that can make the situation much, much worse.

MC's family's bank would very likely, immediately, fall under the microscope. If she failed to cross one t, or dot one i, she could be fined, assets frozen, seizures, or even arrested. And even if she hadn't made a mistake, they could create one, either through whole cloth or retroactive laws.

Bottom line, the government always wins, so you never want to fight against the government.
I think this year would be a perfect example to compare to what's happening in this arc.

We, at Silicon Signature Swisse, would like to formally apologize to a mistake made by one of our team members during our distribution process. The one that managed our distribution process, SiliconSignatureSwisseChair, made an error in uploading Chapter 5 - The Lady's Flight (2), as she uploaded it as Chapter 4, without any title. She explained to our team that some unforseen external circumstances caused such human error.
Thank you. It's just a small error, and I think I can also do the same mistakes.
The content is what means the most. I really appreaciate the translation with such a lot of details. It seems so hard to translate all of the details from the raw. 🫡

Thanks again!

Governments love healthy banks during troubled times. Trash banks go under or are partially saved by public funding (which gave rise to the saying of profit being private property, losses being public property), healthy banks are worshipped. The Japanese government would be brain-dead to sacrifice healthy banks for the sake of the doomed ones. What kind of precedent would that create? People/businesses would rush to withdraw all of their savings. Soon Japan wouldn't have a single functional bank and would become a communist country.
