I agree with you and i still have hope that things will sort out and MD remain active but if shit happens is not only this title to be affected, is everything you read, so is better you have always a realiable backup (i also used [REDACTED] even before the dmca fiasco). Still MD is my first choice.

Multiple people have essentially said they are leaving MD because it will not protect them if the authorities come asking.

And not because they are afraid to get caught, but because MD won’t protect them. They are perfectly happy to run a discord or upload elsewhere (places that will also turn them in if asked by the way) but are apparently pissed just because MD said it.

If they are afraid to get sued for illegally uploading scans they should stop uploading scans. Not get pissed off that your host won’t get sued on your behalf.

Either way, MD lives because it replies to DCMA, nothing more, nothing less as far as I know. Whenever a series get license, put it on hold till you're willing/able to pay. If a series that didn't get licensed yet got removed, yeah that sucks. That's life as of now.
