Either way, MD lives because it replies to DCMA, nothing more, nothing less as far as I know. Whenever a series get license, put it on hold till you're willing/able to pay. If a series that didn't get licensed yet got removed, yeah that sucks. That's life as of now.

I just find it hilarious that people are apparently legitimately upset that mangadex will comply with the dmca and bloody subpoenas.

Like of course they will. No one is going to risk going getting sued (or worse) to protect some random scan group.

And everywhere else you go is going to be the same unless you live and host in a handful of countries.
