That depends on the system they use in this universe. Typically, magic contracts are absolute, they can't be forged, changed or broken without major penalties to the parties who made them. So a blank in that case would just mean a contract with no terms period.
But the loop hole conversation with Non has me a little worried.

I think both of them work quite differently after all,

• blank check work by filling whatever it is both party want in there until it got claimed/exchanged for what written in there thus the check stop working after that
• blank contract [magic contract on this case] usually work after both party sign the contract that will activate the clausal that already written on the magic contract before it got signed, usually the content wont be able to changed, n usually the next n final usage is to annul or cancel the already working contract...

The gold coin is for his expenses if he ever runs away from the country (as quoted in his earlier statement of him "I didn't think you are stupid enough to show up") and the El statment of countless ways to weasel out of the contract magic when they use the blank contract.

This means that they given ways for Reiji for avoid being chain down by the country in the event of someone (assuming Duke Reviere) would force the King to use the blank contract with Reiji to submit for whatever reason, and the King would just play dumb with the excuse of "I didn't know that he knows the loopholes to escape the contract magic".

we have to wait for next chapter, I'm with you in the possibility that they are f*cking with the MC, specially since even the king wasn't expecting for Reiji to appear and we already know Bunny mage was ready to sacrifice the king's son... so really not sure for what was the reaction at the end of the chapter as it sounded more like, we let people just sign and then add the actual conditions to not get people weasel out of the contract.
