How the fuck did he climb on this plank from this little corner ?
Wouldn't it better to put the plank in front of the entrance ?

No, the stairs help spread the load. The planks/timbers would probably break if they had put it right out in front.

But since we in a previous image saw there was plenty of free space on the other side, they should have put the planks on that stair instead and used this difficult one as the footpath for walking people.
So yet another issue with "poor mangaka planning" sadly.
