on one hand i disagree, the problem is that they need to rescue the girl LEGALLY, because even if girly ends up wanting to join their party, they can't just prison break her just like that, it's not just mc anymore it's the whole silver scales party's reputation at line... but on the other hand, mc can change his face and he already went against a whole country before, we know he's strong enough so he can just do to the innocent girl what he couldn't do to the bratty princess (running away with her).

Running away should be the last resort only when no other option is available. Not everyone enjoys the life of adventurer, especially as a wanted fugitive. If escaping is their preferred choice each time they get into trouble, might as well distance themselves from civilization altogether.

At this point I want some form of legal or political comeuppance. I wouldn’t feel satisfied at this point if they just took the girl and ran and were branded criminals. The nation’s pride and hubris is largely built off the backs of what others before them built and they’re completely self involved and think themselves greater. I want that worldview broken in a way they can’t refute.

Solving the dungeon will go a ways towards it, I’d like even more if the true secret of that dungeon is something that can’t be put to use by the kingdom or better yet causes rot within their kingdom. I want the silver wings leaving with the full honours of clearing the dungeon, I want some of these indolent nobles brought down a peg.

Once they lose in public I then want them to send assassins or something and then they get crushed physically too. Justice doesn’t get done in the real world so I want to at least get a victory in my parallel world fantasy series.
