It's only cursed because the author makes it cursed. I don't know what's stopping him from adapting his twitter stories to serialized. Literally had a story where the two were isekai to another world and have sex and it was Ai's dream.

I don't think he's being strong armed either. I'm curious how Japanese fans think of the serialized version of Ai's story

Honestly, this was nice. There doesn't actually need to be progress per se. Even moments like these, where it showcases their senior/junior relationship are nice since we can see more of their fondness and affection for one another on full display. It makes the roadblock (teacher/student relationship as they call in this case) natural and helps build and maintain the momentum needed for their relationship when it actually does blossom and progress.

Sadly, as for Ai-chan and Onii-san, I think they literally need more screen time with one another (beyond just two pages) and less roadblocks (Ai-chan's friend), before progress can even happen.

Japan is actively cracking down on a lot of that content outside of actual porn (ever since the Olympics). You get away with more in web publishing or by having a much higher rating and therefore fewer stores that will carry it.
