dunno why many, probably traumatized and very young, people link everything to ntr, but i at least agree that these indirect, roundabout "romance" stories are really annoying. if either side is too inept to fucking confess, then just move on. you don't like her in your home, kick her out. the end.

People are gonna go and try to spin it as him just being insecure about himself, needing to man up, and thus being at fault for not confessing, and deserving having to put up with her transgressions like inviting herself into his apartment and teasing him while knowing that he likes him but doesn't feels to be in a position to do anything about it, and shoving on his face the fact that she is becoming more and more popular with men
But that's unfair, and very toxic of her, specially more with the undertones that part of all these things she is doing are to give him jealousy and force a confession out of him, instead of taking the lead like a normal person and confess herself
The idea that all of her teasing were her giving him the go ahead, and that he should have taken a hint and have been more proactive, is a bad take, and this manga reuses it for almost half of the couples, but this one is the worst one so far
And you really have to ask why she never actually considers his feelings, even developing some cuckolding kink in which he can only nut to her magazines, and while weird, i guess that will somehow work for them, yet it is clear that he doesn't likes how she keeps breaking into his time of rest in order to tease him, but he is putting up with it because after all he is just a childhood friend
In other relationships when the couple already knows before hand that their partner was a member of adult entertainment, it is fine because there's mutual understatement and consent
But in here the dynamic is completely unbalanced, she is just expecting him to one way or another go with her whims, without any consideration for him and what he is dealing with, and the guy has a lot of shit he has to deal with, his dreams of becoming a pro baseball player failed, he ended working a low wage paying job, that focused on manual labor, and when he gets to relax, he has to deal with his crush bragging to him about her life, and then people expect him to grab himself by the bootstraps and take charge somehow

I blame more that since this is a serialization a lot of stuff that happened in the webcomic wont happen or at least being shown but because the relationships base is the same you get a dissonance as despite having the same overall beats, the events arent the same.
This one aint hard, he started avoiding her because he started to get a sexual interest on her and felt it was wrong and as a result she became more and more assertive trying to get him interested in her, the webcomic had to be minimalist as its one page on Twitter so a lot had to be conveyed in a single page, this one have more pages but because of that also less and its the same for all couples as Ai and Salary Man have not advanced at all.

Her approach is all wrong, because she didn't actually became more assertive, she is just teasing him trying to force a confession out of him, knowing before hand that he feels uncomfortable and guilty about liking her
And that's toxic, if she actually was assertive she would have taken the lead and asked him out

So this is a story about a guy who is "fine" with just fapping to his crush, doesn't even consider the possibility of going out with her, and is unable to fap to anyone else (or consider going out with anyone else), while she just keeps teasing him about how popular she is? Yeah, can't say I'm fan.

This author is a genius.
The dude is only there to enhance the tease, which is ultimately what this manga is all about.
I don't know about you guys, but if you have a single honest bone in your body, you'd agree that there is some degree of self insertion going on here.
And if you keep that in mind, and you start thinking about the authors goals, which I assume are monetary:
1. She's intentionally made not to sleep around since that'd turn most people off this. And the author doesn't want that since that'd make people boycott his work.
2. The guy we self insert to won't sleep with her, even though he clearly has the go ahead. Which makes it much much more frustrating for some. But he's also difficult to dislike, since he simply seems somewhat at worst annoyingly overly sincere.
The goal is to sexually frustrate, not wildly, but with a specific target. This leads to increased sales of the authors work.
It also helps that all the heroines look somewhat similar, since that leads to cross-sales. If the consumer finds one girl appealing, they'll find all girls appealing.
There's also never any real resolution to the stories, they can practically go on forever, and that keeps people hooked and curious.
I must admit I have far from read all the chapters. But each story seems to be targeted towards different demographics, but there seems to be a common point where the author is using side characters as devices in order to make the main girl more attractive.

I mean she's merely doing what he asked for: he doesn't want her to belong to anyone. Well, she now belongs to everyone, and by extension she doesn't belong to anyone cause she's an idol. What kind of a question is that, even? Instead of confessing?
This ain't NTR, if people really wanna go down that road it'd be closer to netorase.
