Recently it’s come out about how GrandGrant, a well known dota 2 personality that works with one of the leading organizations behind tournament hosting and casting, was accused of sexual harassment. The thing is, he went to court a while back, but we are only learning that this ever happened now. So there is a lot of backlash against him and his organization, and at this point he has pretty much been outed by everyone in the community.

The fuck? Rank match feel like a grind?That's a tournament player problem, cause there's a difference between casual highest rank and professional player.
If you can constantly win, there's no challenge THEN it becomes a chore. And you tell me this girl brought 2 fighting stick and no teacher noticed?

The chore thing actually happens to some of the competitive game I played, I think it is pretty much a fact after all.
"When you too focused on the game score instead enjoying it, that's when you'll likely lose the actual passion of playing it".
Climbing rank, getting over the top. Then drop the game. It happens to the majority of the multiplayer games I played.
Between Casuals and Pro something like in Dota 2 or some competitive ranked games I played, I always ended up getting what's even worth on climbing rank. When you get over the top 5% you do already spent hundreds to thousands of hours without even enjoying it anymore.
It's a damn game, it was meant to be enjoyed. Not work or chores as majority of casual took it the wrong turn and fell to the trap.
Unless you're a pro and that's a different case.
I am sure they can bring stuff to the dorm and not getting caught when someone does inspection so it's likely they brought stuff to that room when the teacher unavailable on the night with only 1-2 responsible caretakers in the dorm that probably can't notice everything the student does.
I don't think it's bullshit though.

Good thing i chose to be a casual player. Imo, ranking is only the tool to match you with people that is the same of your level, this system is extremely grindy and troublesome in games like Dota 2 since the result of the match is depended on 10 people. In fighting game, card game or RTS when you have to fight 1v1, you take full responsibility for your winning/losing. Ranking is never be a chore if you just play it to find a good people of your level and just want to have a nice match, to be able to really type GG in the end and feels good about how well you/your opponent outplayed each other. I somehow did a calibrated matches in dota 2 and got to Ancient 4 immediately, but i quit it at some point since losing some matches will make you go back to suffering the low elo hell with kids that want to sleep with your mom ( SEA server experience ). On the other hand, when i try to play Fighting Game, ranking is just like a normal queue in Dota 2, except the online scene is pretty much dead on PC and goddamn japanese devs still refused to add Rollback Netcode.
