Counterpoint: You can see how each tweet in that whole sequence of baseball has a different emoji for each character (a star for Stella, a mountain for Oriko, a... window for Madoka, for some reason), and Jhirav/Giraffe's unique emoji is a literal giraffe emoji. Nikukai might be laboring under the assumption that "jhirav" is actually how "giraffe" is spelled in English - both spellings would be a reasonable way to write out /dʒɪˈɹɑːf/ if you were only familiar with how the word was spoken, after all, and his name in Japanese is written out in katakana (ジラフ), suggesting that it's a foreign word.
