Thank you so much for translating this manga. Really tore my heart apart especially near the end. Ngl, I thought this will be a simple slice of life especially when I look at the artstyle. This is why I love reading manga.

Makki's too pure for this world

...Well then. I'll provisionally give this a 9/10. It did really well with the mere sixteen chapters it had to work with. Pi and Makki had three chapters to establish their characters, then a further ten chapters of Mira growing up and choosing to die before two chapters of Pi and Makki choosing what to do from then. The story was short but very touching and I believe did well touching on the infinite.

Pi deciding on mortality was expected. She had already died twice before and seemed to have already explored all the world had to offer. By contrast Makki was more methodical. No doubt he still had much to write down and invent. Perhaps seeing the process of death also made Makki want to not die, instead content to keep living on Earth with his Mother.

Who, is likely synonymous with Earth. She has, along with immortality, superhuman powers such as ranged kill. Her power extends throughout the planet but not outside it. Being a lesser god is also possible but the question of where the other gods on Earth comes up. Hence, she is the "soul" of the Earth. I enjoyed her presence.

Overall greatly pleased. I am saddened then there is no English paperback.
