god this alvum is so fucking good. i forgot about it really. ughhhh okay i'll write a more complete and like actually structured review once i've thought about it more but this is such a gorgeous fucking art project. it's cover songs but watch out!!!!!! it's actually completely fucking new songs in disguise!!!!
i don't even know what to call it when a song cover just uses the melody and lyrical Structure while changing everything else about it !!! anyways i don't think i could name another album that i have to actively follow a plot of??? but i love the heart mind and soul they're awesome #pluralrep
BUT. and this is a big caveat even though this doesn't really apply to me because i already know all these songs ... im not sure how much value this album has for people who Aren't familiar with the tally hall/miracle musical/etc songs being covered even if most of them have completely new and unique lyrics. if you already know the songs fuck it's sooooo goood though ugh. i'm such a slut for weird vocals and fun lyrics and this album is just absolutely brimming with them. there are so many fucking awesome lines ESPECIALLY FROM MIND???? OH MY GOD???? go egotistical and cynical white boy fighting his other, very suicidal parts go !!!!!!
my fav song is definitely two wuv ... its so good. please. clawing st my neck.
tldr listen to this album if you're a fan of tally hall but if not you should go listen to their discog (and side projects and demos) FIRST!!!!!!!!!itll be really worth it i promise
