I have NEVER been bawling this hard taking a journey of a series, until this. A truly beautiful story about a world slowly ending. And when I say world, I dont mean the planet, I mean their "world". The first one, they had to say goodbye to their world of hometown, and their grandpa. On the journey, they gained companions to and then said goodbye to them. They made physical memories like diary and then also said goodbye to them. and then, they had to say goodbye their ride, the world which they had brought with them since the beginning of the journey. And then, when they reached their final destination all thats left in their world is . . . . . Each other.
Since theres "nothing" on the top, is it all . . . in vain?
No
In their journey, they were able to find what it means to be alive, the joy of living. For our girls, its simply finding and learning new stuffs on a planet thats about to go to sleep, and of course go to the top. This is even truer with Kanazawa who made maps, and Ishii who tried to fly. Even tho they lost em in the end, they all had purpose, something to live for. They were humane. And most importantly, they were happy. if I want to quote Yuri "make peace with misery". This shows that in their dying world, humanity can still shows it best.
And when theres nothing left but each other in their world. All thats left to do is, Im going to quote Yuri here "first, eat, then take a nap. Think the rest later"
Oyasumi Chito, Yuri. You can finally have a long lasting rest.
Massive thanks to Tsukumizu sensei for making this series. This is truly an aspiration and one heck of a masterpiece. A friend of mine said, this series makes one appreciates an absence. And I wholeheartedly agree with him
Also a very much thanks for Yukicola, Socobomb, and Nekyou groups for bringing this masterpiece to us
