I keep comming back to this. Not only is this a beautiful translation of the poem, which only has one other variant I’ve found online that doesn’t hit nearly as hard, but it is also such a beautiful addition to this story. It’s not the most plot heavy. Not the most intricately written. Not the longest tale. Not the greatest visuals. Not the deepest characters. Even then, this story refuses to let me forget it. It was among the first mangas I read among many big names, but this one remains my favourite
