She likely is. But the obsessively in love part is her own interpretation of the brainwashing. Like Ruruna said, it gives them loyalty to their master.
Not like she knew Ruruna’s inside out. Before this incident, Ruruna is just a part of Wakana’s boring daily life like other classmates, nothing stands out, nothing special.
Only after Ruruna ordered to fawn over her, maybe Wakana’s mind try to interpret the command, and at that time her heart also realise being on top in relationship feels a lot more fulfilling than just being the receiving end, and quickly desire for more of this new pleasant feeling.
All these time, Wakana never thought about loving someone, and nobody ever asks for her love. So she always just desire to be loved. Her being “good girl” is not loving her parent, but her begging to be loved.
Thus, when Ruruna ordered Wakana to (what she interprets as) “love me”, suddenly Wakana feels liberated. She realised she doesn’t need someone else dictating her happiness by deciding to love her or not. She can also get her happiness through her own action to love someone.
My guess is, Wakana’s own feeling probably don’t care if it’s Ruruna or anyone else, she just need an outlet for this new desire. But the vampire bites makes Ruruna the most important person, so as result Ruruna became the single target for all those desires. ^^;;;
