Now whats the reason for the Demon King to be waiting for a strong enough angel? Will he be the final boss and will need Aki and Honwasabi to defeat? Is he doing that to help? Is the thing that ate that mage the real Devil King or his spirit? It reminds me of the angel egg somehow.

Does the demon king wants to be replaced or something?
It seems like the two mage took over the demon king body somehow, probably for immortality, but then with the body came the role.
The role probs enforced by the mouth thingy, and so he hopes that it might latches on to the next demon that overpowered him.

Or maybe he just wanna finally rest after spending god knows how long as demon king.

page 1 : i guess the curse is : the one who defeats the demon king / queen will become the next demon queen / king . and now after thousands of years , the current demon king is wanting someone to defeat him to free him from this curse .

page 13 : so granny goblin actually didnt need the demon king to save her and honwasabi . in page 6 : granny was standing there and acting cornered and miserable to lure all the adventurers to run toward her big pitfall trap . but then before the adventurers falling down the trap , the demon king killed them with his invisible biting monster .

No, that's not the demon king's "spirit" nor his "invisible biting monster" nor his "stand".
The demon king's power is to corrupt the angel parasites that adventurer's have, thus undoing the divine protection revival and having the adventurers killed by their own invisible guardian angels in one swoop.
Most adventurers can't see their angels/divine protection except the lvl 90 frost mage who had that ability.


Hmm, the final battle could be against a corrupted Chiaki.
