If you're talking about the hotel full of traps and secret passages though, that's based on a real hotel built by an actual serial killer, H. H. Holmes.

@mootmar I'm not sure if Ienaga is a trans woman, they are seeking a perfect body and use whichever body they see fit. They've regained youth, but Ushiyama has strength like no other and will likely be the body they take next if allowed to. They're really just after youth and power, not gender identity. They were able to take a women's voice and face, but I think that's to trap more people and gain their bodies.

It's really not that deep and because everyone's so obsessed with trans shit these days, everything must be trans. Looks like according to wiki that hotel full of traps is not based on real hotel but just a myth created by yellow magazines they even make Holmes looks more psychopatic as he was probably not killing just for the pleasure of it.
