Cause he too knows the replacement is forced and isn't like the original. He prefers them being their own thing and making their own name for themselves.

I can tell you don't read comics. One name, Ben Rielly. Try replacing a character with a literal clone of himself, Yeah that didn't work did it? Or you know, Azreal or Robin. Might have to check who batman is. Race and sex were never the issue.
