he's been treated by officials. those should have clearly told the teachers at the very least. and yes, for him to be instantly sent back to school and classes, without confirming his abilities to function enough, that's just some BS.

If they told someone that he lost his memories they would also have to explain how and they can't possibly say, "Yea they both went a secret mission to fight a reincarnated witch".

This is more or less bad writing...what is the point of having an MC whose whole shtick was being overpowered due to the fact that he had the MEMORIES of being a sage in his past like, being weaker than anyone else and have none of his memories as a sage?

It would be one thing if it was only his power than was taken, then we could have seen how he copes with the loss of his power and show us how he manages to compensate only through knowledge.

But adding memory loss at that, is just stupid. What is the mangaka thinking this achieves?
"Oh, look!, I put the now powerless guy with complete loss of all his memory in a dangerous situation that he could normally clear with extreme ease now bungling it all up, because reasons!"

And no, showing us that the girls also developed is no real excuse...

This is ridiculous. He has no business attending any classes. In fact the school should right now be debating about whether he can even continue as a student at all or face expulsion. Might sound harsh, but if he has no memories and no power, he's not fit for the school. What can you do about it? Maybe the school could give him a week or two to get back into proper shape. If he can't, he should leave. If they are really merciful, give him a chance to reenter the next year, thus being held back a school year, with a recheck of power and knowledge.

I know you're not supposed to look for realism in these stories, but there's only so far suspension of disbelieve can carry you. Medical professionals examined him and are treating a renowned teacher; why would news not reach the faculty and he not be on medical leave from his lessons?

Okay, that's just straight up stupid writing. Him having an amnesia is whatever, that's just another trope that could be used outstandingly by great authors. But NOT reporting it when there's a gravely injured teacher alongside him? We don't even need to go meta here, that's very irresponsible even in-universe. Especially moreso when we add to the fact that both of them KNOW that there's a murderous witch out there who's most likely causing this incident.

The part that everyone in the comments is forgetting is that in ch 14.1, the teacher ALREADY told the head master/the academy ABOUT the witch killing people etc andddddd THEY DIDN'T GIVE A FUCK about it

All in all the writing in this series is some HOT garbage :aquadrink:
