why is it when using religion, author decided to make a "new" denomination? why not going back to it's root instead? because you know, the closest one to the real religion? any new updates should not change the core beliefs, but when it does, then that's the beginning of corruption in religion

i know japs doesnt have much faith about religion, but they keep making religion like some sort of politics. even the GOD as some kind of another powerful being, some of them is even a goal to beat up (in some manga). nothing "GODLY" about those "GOD" either

this is the problem with them, if you dont know religion, don't use it!!! or just make it simple, it's just manga, not theologian course
  • making a new branch or religion is easier than trying to convince ppl that your way is the one true way, and that the older ways are corrupt and flawed.
  • Religion is almost always political. If it can sway people, it’s most likely political. Shintoism is pretty unpolitical in comparison to other religions due to its high tolerance of acceptance of other gods and low demand for a major god to be championed (compare with the Greco-Roman pantheon, which demands attention). Also, you need to remember that the Catholics technically owe their allegiance first and foremost to the pope (which had actual political power back then), which is why the English and the Shogunate view them with suspicion back then.
  • Considering the amount of people and countries that politicize religion or use religion as a basis of power nowadays, it’s easier to find ppl who are religiously skeptic nowadays. I reckon that had certain asian countries not outlawed atheism due to Islam and actually protect the right to not believe in one of the main religions, there would be significantly more known atheists than now.

I mean, the protag is an atheist, so he has no scruples to make a fake religion for political purpose
Now the problem is if the saintess follow his plan, instead of promoting the orthodoxy of her religion

I doubt a priestess in another world would know what pleading 5th Amendment means.

The saintess' sect is already supposed to be the ones with the "original" beliefs and look how that turns out. How are you going to beat them at this game, even if you're in the right? The very fact that it's a theological matter makes it a losing proposition. After all, it's not like the avarage faithful knows much about his religion, most christians have never read the full Bible and struggle with even basic questions on doctrine (or confidently make shit up and refuse to budge). They'll accept whatever their current authority figures say and that's by no means a recent trend.

It is politics. A religious organization is concerned formost with swaying as much of the public to their side as possible and keeping it that way. That is literally the definition of what a political party does. The churches just have the added benefit of not having to obey the strict rules that regular politicians do.

Always the LN fags …

Seriously, explain this to me: If you HAVE to ask, why DO you ask? You either follow LN or manga or both, and you know what happens and when (save you forgot, or "forgot"), or you don't follow either, and the information you ask for is irrelevant, so, why do you waste breath to ask? Just to ask? How does this work??
AYO why’re you TRIGGERED over a question? Yessh

1) I‘m a manga only reader but if I’m heavily interested/impatient on wanting to know I would like to know where to look

2) One should ask a question if one doesn’t know? isn’t that like the common sense thing to do or are you part of an all knowing hive mind?

3) It’s works by getting a point of reference, then performing the act of finding it from the source, and then reading it.

Because some people don't follow the LN yet and want to pick up reading the LN at the current point in the manga, instead of picking the LN from the start. I've done that a few times myself, when I've read a manga I like but it's kinda slow or already caught up, find out it has a LN/WN and start reading at that point in the story. I also go back and read the WN/LN from the start when I have time or I'm done with the rest.
EXACTLY!

i know japs doesnt have much faith about religion,
From what I understand, theirs is a more... Earthly faith. Where gods/kami (among them, the Emperor of Japan) are everywhere in our physical world, instead of a higher plane. That is in part why they are so into dolls and robots... and why the concept of faith doesn't make sense to them, because of course sword-kun has a "soul".

but they keep making religion like some sort of politics.
Their main "God" is the not-really-unofficial head of the state, so...

even the GOD as some kind of another powerful being, some of them is even a goal to beat up (in some manga). nothing "GODLY" about those "GOD" either
Au contraire, Mon Ami! If something humans are good at is at projecting their fears and aspirations into imaginary friends... and then killing/replacing them, when those gods are not useful to us anymore. The Japanese simply have perfected the process, so that it can be sold as 100+ hour-long JRPGs.

this is the problem with them, if you dont know religion, don't use it!!!
Oh. They absolutely know religion. It is just they see it in a very different way from you.
For example, watch Neon Genesis Evangelion, to see how deep their knowledge about Abrahamic religions is... and how little they care about dogma (aside from using the term as a cool-sounding architectonic element).

or just make it simple, it's just manga, not theologian course
It is an Isekai manga, so, by definition, it has a fantasy world where gods can actually exist. Therefore, in those worlds even theology can be useful knowledge.

I feel unsatisfied with how this whole 'kidnapped and taken to the holy kingdom' arc has gone, but for the life of me I couldn't tell you why.
Hopefully the resolution of it all feels more satisfying.
Thanks for the chapter as always.
Honestly this arc of the LN felt forced. The manga plays straight with the plot, no changes or deviations other than condensing the time he's just laying around. My guess (and it's only a guess) is that the author needed something as a means to advance time while forcing everyone to pause. The Liberation Army just made major gains but needs time to rest/refit/rearm and recruit new members. Kosuke is at the point where he needs to make the change from human powered tools to using a more energy dense form of power; human -> animals -> water/wind -> steam in our world. And putting a temporary break on his power growth is necessary. The Holy Kingdom also needs time because they've just lost a lot of people and territory for no gain at all, about 1/3 of a vassal state just got taken over and they've lost about 10,000 soldiers, most of them killed. Plus we get a new waifu! Well...actually we get 3. Unless we count the slimes, then it's 6. Then we have to throw in Melty, but she's there already so does that bring it up to 7 or not? Okay the next one is a legit spoiler.
Then he meets a dragon on the way home and she'll turn into a cute girl later so that makes 8. So 7 new waifus, banging 3 (is he banging the slimes or are they banging him? 🤔) + banging 1 existing unbanged waifu in one trip.

TL;DR: Plot says so. Author needed a way to introduce new waifus.

Thanks for the chapter.

Did you happen to include the harpy girls in that count? I think I know that you weren’t including Elenora’s attendants who later joined?(and that’s just the LATEST so far…)

I wish this whole story went a lot more gray - this development is all way too convenient
