So the exposed inner structure of a horn where there seems to have clearly been blood before, and which is drawn with highlights in such a way that the darker blobs seem to be bulging out a bit... You're telling me those aren't scabs? Even though the translation called them scars, I'm pressing X to doubt...

Regardless, it's touching what appears to be a recent-ish wound, not one that looks healed over. That's asking for re-opening the wound, or introducing an infection into a body part near her brain. Especially when the guy doing the touching was recently in some sewers, and before that was so ridiculously poisoned that he was a biohazard. Doing things that are likely to cause someone to bleed to death or otherwise be sent to the hospital are not sexy (I know there are people that think otherwise... But if this story thinks otherwise, it needs to add the Gore tag)
horns are not a fleshy organ they are horns. it's all bone.

ever chipped a tooth? maybe cut a toenail just a little too short? her "reactions" are either more teasing or the author just wants to do the horny sex scene.

Let’s fucking go, Melty is best girl.

She sacrificed so much for him. Glad they were able to get together. Those demon eyes though are wild. I really want to hear the story behind them.

It was healed with magic so while it was done recently it's healed like it's been a few months at least. And yes, that's how horns work, just like any other bone. This is a long-dead antler, so none of the non-calcified matter remains, but it still demonstrates the basic look. The outer layer of horn is insensitive, but the flesh and skin at the base, as well as the living interior of the bone, would both be still very sensitive.

Sheep horns still attached to the head have living tissue and blood inside. It's why when you don't want a sheep to have horns you disbud (grind the nubs of growth and cauterize them) with a hot iron, to prevent bleeding and to be done before 8 weeks of age. Wait too long and they attach to the skull, leading to dehorning, which is what happened to Melty. and yes, dehorning can lead to death via blood loss. Not to say disbudding doesn't have its risks either but Melty is clearly not less than 8 weeks old. Dried up and hollow horns are old, detached horns, not living attached ones. The writer is not a hack, most of you are just ill informed.

Incidentally, an antler that falls off before it is ready will also lead to bleeding. One you find on the forest floor is in a different state from one attached to a buck in rut and ready to strut and headbutt.
