Don't you just love the double standard?

"A man can't call himself a man if he hits on women with a partner."

"What is that? The women are doing it? Oh boy, better pop a blue and drop your pants, 'coz it's open season on your baby batter injector. And don't you dare losing your stiffy until you've sired me another battalion for the rebellion."

Ok first of all.. poetry. (💀)

Second of all, agreed. To hell with double standards. Anyone weak-willed, man or woman, who feels the need to pounce on someone to relieve their urges.. really needs to have their brain corrected with some good ol' blunt force trauma.

Seeing how a guy within the fortress's walls can't go safe alone in the night.. starting to wonder if the humans genuinely might've had a point with how they viewed demi-humans as "filthy animals".. even if the Holy Kingdom military were trash themselves.

It's like on one hand, author is trying to make us believe that Sylphy genuinely cares for Kousuke's mental well-being with all those little moments.. and on the other now it seems like he's being used by Sylphy to merely sexually-appease her subordinates.
This has so much potential for interesting internal conflict and attempts to resolve it, with mainly Sylphy and Kousuke clashing in their respective views of virtue, morals, value, and purpose. Congratulations, you netted yourself a hot tanned elf princess, but she's also the goddamn leader of a rebellion for a starved and exploited people. Congratulations, you netted yourself an absolute cheat of a war asset, but you only really get to enjoy the benefits in exchange for protection and because he happened to fall in your lap first rather than someone else's, including the opposite side's. Oh, and also you two are somehow fuckbuddies for very iro-iro but otherwise very different, even conflicting, yet functionally glossed-over reasons and motivations to come from to doing so.

But I guess even though we're fucking like seinen (remember, Kousuke is supposed to be 24 years of age) we're also still too shounen to address grown-up implications of our actions and circumstances and their consequences to behave like more than just caricatures of ourselves.

The only reason she created a relationship with MC, is because he is really useful to her and her goals.
So, in order to reduce her guilt of using MC as a tool for her goals, as well as binding MC more to her.
She is allowing him to have relationship with any other girls he wants or any girl interested in him.
As (effectively) above, then she should really make that understood. Not as a stereotypical woman dropping cryptic hints but as a damn leader who has more to manage than just her sex life. That's her bloody job as a princess and now leader-in-charge. Instead all she does is some wishy-washy "It's okay for you to get with others" while also allowing herself to lapse into open display of jealousy. She could really use a page from the book of professionalism by Aura Capua of Risou no himo seikatsu.

Problem with both the characters is that Slyphy is quite young even though she is an Elf, and the youngest one of her family (Human to Elf comparative age wise, Slyphy is supposed to be in her late teens in Human years). So, she wasn't really trained to be a leader or head, she was just learning all those stuff on the fly around the time MC came in.

On the other hand, Aura had been in power for a quite a few years before MC came in, and had even participated as a general during war. She is also quite older being in her mid/late 20's.

Aka., the primary difference is the mindset between the two characters. Slyphy is still in her Princess mindset, while Aura has completely taken on her Queen role seriously.

As for being clear about what she wants from MC, well like i said, she is like a teenager, so her emotions aren't in the right place.
She can't completely differentiate her feelings easily as a Leader and a Lover.

Fair, though just because she can't doesn't mean she doesn't need to, something nobody, not even Melty, seems capable, willing, even motivated to effectfully remind her of and which seems a greatly missed source for character development. Elf-teenager or not, she can't afford being so indecisive. Even Kousuke tried, and got nowhere. (Understandably so; it's after all not every day one gets isekaied into the embrace of a rebellion leader's ample bosom. Show me someone who was never ever lost for a clever response and I show you a liar.) Though, speaking of which, she did have enough awareness to recognize his potential for her rebellion plans, funny enough.

That aside,
Slyphy is supposed to be in her late teens in Human years
is something, or something to the same effect, I keep reading, but I can't seem to recall that referenced anywhere in the manga. Would you happen to have a source for that? Because if that's a factlet limited to LN, WN, or whateverN, as in 'not this manga adaptation', it might as well not be known at all.
