Well, Degen is about due for their monthly chapter, someone sniped and people are going to go "see, as soon as someone snipes they release" as usual as soon as Degen releases their scheduled monthly-ish update.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of times where the criticism is warranted when it comes to Degen but there's just as many times where people are just being stupid.

EDIT: and Galaxy Degen Scans released their monthly update and morons started with the stupid "what do you know, as clockwork" type comments.
Seriously, I don't mind people criticising when it's warranted (and Degen often deserves it) but special olympics rejects complaining/whining when it isn't warranted makes me lose hope in humanity.

My dude, i have seen series that Degen has not updat4ed in 3-4 YEARS, and when some one picks it up they start droping chapters again. It has nothing to do with a release schedule, it's an MO at this point.

The thing is you're saying "In this case it's not warranted" but they had already fallen behind here. And though not significantly, who is to say that they weren't going to fall behind more? The problem is a pattern of behavior, not a single incident.

Huh? They hadn't fallen behind, they release this about every 4-6 weeks (depending on circumstances), they were still in that window, ie it's NOT warranted in this case, keep that stupidity to the multitude of series they've basicly abandoned up until someone tries to take over.

I don't have any problem with someone taking over once a group passes the 3 month line but to snipe a series that is being updated on a regular schedule and people jumping to doing moronic statements as soon as the group releases their planned chapter (on a series that IS being regularily updated) is stupid.

Which is why the uploaded said "The chapter has been out for a while" And notice how nothing was released in October. So they were actually behind on even their own schedule.

You need to actually highlight those time tags. 43 was released September 27th. This means nothing was released in October. They also were not holding chapters on their website. The last 3 chapters have released on Mangadex the same day they released on their website.

The dog doesn't actually care. He's not allied with the holy kingdom, he wanted whatever they were paying him for the job. The holy kingdom is 100% unaware that Kousuke can do that. (The dog also might not have been aware as he was commonly a scout so he might not have seen the full extent of the MC's ability to shenanigan his way out of anything. Remember he thought that the MC was useless without his tools)

I translated this chapter for two reasons. The raw has been out for a month already and hasn’t been translated for a while, and I got some free time to translate it. I sometimes translate series that have a few chapters of untranslated raws to help with the updating. I genuinely did not know about these sniping rules and thought its been a month since it was last updated and has been forgotten already. With that, I won’t translate any future chapters of this series anymore since I unknowingly “snipe” translated this chapter.

Alright, I thought about it and decided to retract my statement on not translating this. Also, this is not the main series I translate; but I’ll see what I can occasionally pitch in here.

There are no sniping rules and It HAD been over a month since they released here. They probably weren't even going to release today, as they had 2 releases 6 hours prior to their release of this chapter.
