Man that "father" what a gigantic piece of shit. Also seems like he pressured Ms Hawkins' paramour into an engagement by leaning on her family, thus why Hawkins had an axe to grind there.

The ending was quite rushed. Though I believe everyone knows who Ruby's father is, the story didn't touch that topic at all, completely wasting that potential.
Right now, the future of our dear couple is also quite uncertain, so an epilogue would be much appreciated.

Banger, could have been a few chapters longer to get into those nitty gritty details and expand those character points that were hinted. But overall it ended in a somewhat clean chop. Usually not a fan of open endings but I can tell they'll work out just fine.

Side note when Ruby was going to go say goodbye to Grace at the end, I REALLY thought she'd be in there banging someone already lol

This was a good story.
Unfortunate the ending was really rushed and seemed to leave something’s unanswered. It’s great the author did a Q&A to answer but it doesn’t feel the same not seeing it in the story.
I kept thinking if that was Ruby’s biological father. Same eyes and hair color but wasn’t sure. The story doesn’t exactly answer a lot of the back story.

Also for others reading they are not blood related Grace is adopted and Ruby was abandoned.

This could use season 2. It has enough unanswered questions and it can also show how life goes on after they escape.
It can easily be made of someone wanted to pick it up or if the author decided to do it.

Either way good story, fast ending, too many questions left unanswered.
Still worth a read.

All the way up until the Q&A i thought that grace and ruby were sister which was weird, just because grace is adopted doesn't make less weird, i personally hate the trope were the MC gets with adopted sibling or step-sibling. I wish we could’ve gotten more out of the GL since it had so many questions left unanswered, it was a interesting read though.

I agree, it seems like the they just didn't want to work on this anymore, it would be nice if there's aftermath of it, like one more bed scene? Or just their after love life
