Yea I'm hoping the illustrator leaves unscathed. His shading and detailed body art is really unique and he's relatively new. Hope he isn't blacklisted by publishers or anything like Aira might get lol.

It's really hard to see bar the next chapter where things go he could get with fumi but sakura becomes irrelevant in that event baits wouldn't work anymore the romance crowd would likely stop reading all together. The fuckboi is really a scumbag thing could work and keeps shinobu X sakura relevant but it really seems the main couple are broken permanently with that last scene. Normally in a romance there is a period of separation with the main couple twords the end and them getting back together or together is the end game of a manga but with this one that wants to be an ntr manga we are at end game. Really fumi or twin tails are the only option but twin tails is just as tarred as Sakura.
