Page 9 has barely any reason to exist. Without it, it would be safe to assume fuccboi and Sakura are dating and we just don't see it.

If she wanted to show Sakura on-going life juxtaposed on Shinobu's grief, the page could have, for example, a panel of SaFucc dating, working and having sex. That would make it clear.

She chose simply to throw those panels without anything else just to keep Sakura alive and generate interest in the following chapters.

So I really don't think anything at this point.

Here's two routes I wouldn't mind:

a) Sakura showing some character growth and the fuccboi was one time only and when she goes to Shinobu all teary eyed she tells him that.

b) Sakura letting fuccboi do her and crashes badly when she finds out nothing had happen with ShiFumi at that moment.

Both have a good potential for good drama, but I just don't think Katsura has the chops to deliver it.

And, to be honest, I'm enjoying more the ongoing discussion than the manga itself.

Ya that's why it's going to suck when all this ends particularly because the end seems so close.

Fumi-chan observes Shinobu closely, so I think there will come a time when she sees through to his inner feelings and how he's still clinging to his feelings for Sakura. He probably feels guilty because of what he did that triggered things... Rather than wanting to be happy as a lover herself, she wishes for Shinobu's happiness and contacts Sakura, revealing the whole truth, and then asks Sakura to "please meet Shinobu." I think that's when the path to their reunion will finally open up.

I think Nakanishi is the key person in Sakura's reconciliation. Nakanishi's wish during his hundred-day pilgrimage was, "Sakura's happiness is what matters; whether I can be with her or not doesn't matter." He's determined that he's the only one who can make Sakura happy, but being inexperienced in romance, Nakanishi only knows how to love Sakura through physical intimacy. On the other hand, Shinobu has loved Sakura in other ways, and their histories with Sakura are fundamentally different. He's probably aware that Sakura still has the necklace Shinobu gave her, and he probably hasn't received an answer to his confession yet. It is a possibility. But if Nagi tells her how much she came on to Shinobu only for him to gently push her away and reject her, that alone would give a dose of perspective that not even a dim woman like Sakura would ignore.

To be honest, I just want a scene where Sakura has her "fuck, what have I done" moment even if nothing else comes of it.

That is poor story telling or another strong indicator that the manga is indeed in it's final chapters. It would be impossible for Sakura not to know if Shinobu was dating anyone or not. They have common acquaintances. And people who would tell her about it just to see her reaction, not out of friendship.

Well we gotta think about it like this.
Sakura basically took what she saw and heard at face value. Not to mention all the swooning she was getting from Blondie and Yuma.

It was a similar instance back in the Island arc. Nagi for Shinobu, that bastard for Sakura. We know he's a bastard but up until that revelation he was looking like a good guy.

Now, during this arc, Sakura and Shinobu had a lot of misunderstandings going on but it got resolved because they talked. They explained their situations and apologized to each other.

That didn't happen this time around. When Nagi was rejected, she didn't care and let the bastard have his way with her.

Sakura, through this misunderstanding, allowed herself, after a small resistance, to be fucked by someone else that wanted her.

Nagi and Sakura are somewhat similar in this regard albeit even if in different circumstances and reasons. Nagi is naturally going to ask how Sakura and Shinobu are both doing. She probably doesn't know they separated.

Sakura is going to explain they're not together.

Nagi would ask how?

Sakura will either respond with "well he had plans to abandon me" and I don't think she'll just opening say she let someone else have sex with her.

This is where I can see Nagi begin to realize what happened. She saw them talk, she saw them apologize and explain the misunderstandings.

She'll probably say "you guys talked this out? Are you sure?"


Sakura may not respond or shake her head no. And this is where she may explain what SHE saw when it came to Shinobu's dedication.

And it could probably help Sakura fit the puzzle pieces together on her fuck up. She didn't hear our Shinobu. She didn't confirm it herself. Instead of being abandoned. She abandoned him.

Granted, ideally that's how I can see it happening but there's a good chance Nagi is going to make her realize her mistake. I can assume that much at least.
