I could see this as a strong possibility, but chances fucboi suddenly accepts Sakura for everything she does because he doesn't want to let her go has a pretty solid chance of happening. With this chapter I'm more inclined to believe KA is almost trying to spite readers with that she did to Fumi here, and I'm not even Team Fumi.

That's a good way of doing it, they got Sakura away from Shinobu but Sakura is still following her dream AND thinking of Shinobu.

Fumi pulled a crazy stunt, but ShiFumi still has a life boat.

Finally with only 1 more chapter surely we get at least the one meeting between Shinobu and Sakura but who knows what the real plan is atp, things have gotten a bit weird. The volume starts off on a crap note, so I think it's fair to still believe they'll end it on a different one.
